Amateur Astronomer Star Party

In 2005, Amateur Astronomer initiated and hosted the annual "Amateur Astronomer Star Party," which has been held continuously ever since and has become a well-known brand in China's astronomy popularization activities. Amateur Astronomer is also the initiator of astronomy knowledge competitions in China.

National Middle School Students Astronomy Knowledge Competition

In 2001, Amateur Astronomer launched the "First National Middle School Students Astronomy Knowledge Correspondence Competition", and it was successfully held in 2002, marking the start of formal astronomical competitions in China.

In 2003, Amateur Astronomer began to co - organize the "National Middle School Students Astronomy Olympiad" with Beijing Planetarium.

Held annually, it was renamed the "National Middle School Students Astronomy Knowledge Competition" in 2019 and is now hosted by the Chinese Astronomical Society and organized by the Beijing Planetarium and the Society's Popularization Working Committee. Amateur Astronomer publishes past international and domestic competition questions and solutions for primary and secondary school astronomy enthusiasts as reference material.

 

Others

Amateur Astronomer is distributed both domestically and internationally. It is currently a monthly publication and, in addition to its print version, offers electronic media services such as WeChat and Weibo.
